सहायक कमांडेंट अर्द्ध सैन्य बलों में साहसिक एवं चुनोतिपूर्ण एक राजपत्रित अधिकारी का पद है। संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (UPSC) प्रतिवर्ष इसके लिए एक दो चरणों की परीक्षा का आयोजन करता है । जिसके लिए सामान्यतय निम्न कैलेंडर का उपयोग किया जाता है ।
अधिसूचना माह : मई (रोज़गार समाचार पत्र एवं अन्य राष्ट्रीय समाचारपत्रों में )
लिखित परीक्षा माह : अक्टूबर (पहला रविवार )
लिखित परीक्षा का परिणाम माह : मई (आगामी वर्ष ) (आयोग की वेबसाइट पर www.upsc.gov.in)
लिखित परीक्षा के परिणाम के अगले माह (जून ) में चिकित्सकीय मापदंड एवं शारीरिक क्षमता परीक्षा medicalstandards test and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) का आयोजन किसी अधिकारिक एजेन्सी किया जाता है । उसके बाद साक्षात्कार परीक्षण का आयोजन किया जाता है । इस प्रकार पुरी प्रक्रिया अगली लिखित परीक्षा तक चलती है । अन्तिम परिणाम (सफल अभ्यर्थियों की सूचि ) अक्टूबर माह तक, लेकिन नई लिखित परीक्षा से पहले आयोग की वेबसाइट पर प्रकाशित की जाती है।
आवश्यक शर्ते :
1 आयु सीमा : परीक्षा होने वाले वर्ष 1 अगस्त को 20 से 25 तक की आयु
2 एक स्नातक की डिग्री (अन्तिम वर्ष के विद्यार्थी भी पत्र होंगे , जिनको लिखित परीक्षा तक के परीणाम तक परीक्षा पास कर लेने की उम्मीद हो )
3 पुरूष उम्मीदवार : 1 CISF 2 CRPF 3 SSB 4 BSF 5 ITBP
महिला उम्मीदवार : 1 CISF 2 CRPF E) Scheme of Examination

Written Examination
PAPER-I	General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type)	250 Marks
PAPER-II	Essay, Precis writing and comprehension (Conventional Type)	150 Marks
PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL STANDARDS TEST	To be conducted only of candidates who qualify the written examination.
Interview for Personality Test		200 Marks

grand total 600 marks



STAGE ONE : Written Examination consist two paper(October )

2 Essay, Precis writing and comprehension (Conventional Type)

STAGE ONE : Written Examination
Let us discuss written exam :-
paper-1 : General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type)
(a) it consists of 125 multiple choice questions
(b) each question carry 2 marks .
(c) there will be negative marking in multiple choice question
(d)one must qualify paper 1 otherwise paper 2 will not be checked

Paper 2 : Essay, Precis writing and comprehension (Conventional Type)
Time duration : 2 hours ; Max marks :150
(a)it will have three question:-
Que1: निबंध or essay :60 marks (either only in English or only in Hindi) out of five given topics
Que 2 precis writing :40 marks(to be answered in only English) Que 3 a paragraph for comprehension of English language :50 marks(five question are asked 10 x 5 = 50 marks)


for a call in interview one should score at least 55% marks in written examination (general category)
STAGE TWO :PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL STANDARDS TEST & INTERVIEW
After satisfactory performance in PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL STANDARDS TEST, candidate are asked to appear in a board of UPSC

there were above ten boards for personality test in examination of 2006

total candidates APPEARED in exam of cpf (ac) 52774, 53896 ,41130 in year 2005-06,2006-07 ,2007-08 and for cpf ac 2006 , 992 candidates were interviewed out of that 302 were recommended although there were vacancies for 380 post declared in 2006

Central Police Force Examination 2006 : total number of post 380 ,total number of applied candidates 95,433 out of which 53,896 appeared in written examination and finally 992 appeared for interview and 302 got final selection.(52 sc , 23 st ,76 obc and 151 gen )

Central Police Force Examination 2007 : number of applied candidates 74,368 out of which 41,130 appeared in written examination

सरकारी एवं सार्वजनिक उपक्रमों में सेवा के अवसर :एक परिचय

हमारे देश में राजकीय सेवाओ में नियुक्ति निम्न संघ / आयोग / संघटनों द्वारा ली जाती है।
1 संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (upsc) : समूह 'क' जैसे -सिविल सेवा , भारतीय वन सेवा , भारतीय इंजीनियरिंग सेवा ,सम्मिलित रक्षा सेवा (cds), भारतीय सांख्यिकी सेवा ,असिस्टेंट कमांडेंट आदि ।

3 कर्मचारी चयन आयोग (staff selection commission):समूह 'ख' और 'ग' जैसे -संयुक्त मैट्रिक स्तरीय परीक्षा , संयुक्त स्नातक स्तरीय परीक्षा , सेक्शन ऑफिसर (कॉमर्शियल ) , सेक्शन ऑफिसर (ऑडिट) , सब इंसपेक्टर (cpo si) , कर सहायक (टैक्स असिस्टेंट ) आदि ।
4 सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उपक्रम (public sector undertaking जिनमे बैंक , तेल कम्पनिया आती है )

सफल रणनीति :आधी जीत
